Alice F. "Cookie" Austerman, age 83, of Richmond, died Thursday morning (April 17, 2008) at Reid Hospital.� She was born in Richmond on March 9, 1925 to Howard and Anna Pardieck Turner and had lived in this area all of her life.� She attended Richmond schools and had worked at the former Bartel's Hoosier Store.� She was a homemaker and a member of Saint Andrew Church.� Her husband, Joseph Austerman, died on February 18, 1997.�Survivors include daughters - Ruth Ann (Richard) Alexander of California, Marilyn (Michael) Petty of Elmhurst, Illinois, Marjorie Schuck of Richmond; sons - David (Valerie) Austerman of Richmond, John (Debbie) Austerman of Florida, Charlie Austerman of Richmond, Raymond Austerman of Richmond, Fred (Sue) Austerman of Richmond;� brothers - Carl Turner of Richmond, Elmer (Nora) Turner of New Paris, Edward (Rose) Turner of Richmond, Howard (Edna) Turner of Williamsburg, Fred (Joyce) Turner of Richmond;� sisters - Evelyn Williams of Richmond, Jane Johnson of Richmond;� sister-in-law - Catherine Turner of Rapid City, Michigan;� 14 Grandchildred, 11 Great Grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.�In addition to her parents, her brothers Robert and Arthur Turner, sisters Helen Leslie, Mary Ryan, Martha Rouleau, nieces Carol Boisvert, Carol Dippo, sisters-in-law Tillie Turner and Jane Turner, brothers-in-law Walt Leslie, Bill Ryan, Phil Rouleau, Bob Williams and Ed Johnson are also deceased.�A prayer service will be held at 9:30 am on Tuesday (April 22, 2008) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Andrew Church.� Burial will be in Saint Andrew Cemetery.� Friends may call on Monday (April 21, 2008) from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
