Obituary

Alvin "Junior" Cross, age 77, of Richmond, died Friday (July 4, 2008) at his residence.� He was born in Campbellstown, Ohio on November 2, 1930 to Dennie and Marie Street Cross and had lived in Richmond most of his life.� He was a retired employee of C & C Amusement Company and was a member of Saint Paul Lutheran Church.� He was an avid Saint Louis Cardinal's fan and enjoyed auto racing, particularly the Indianapolis 500.� He also enjoyed gardening and had a special interest in growing strawberries.� He loved spending time with his grandchildren.�Survivors include his wife of 59 years - Patricia Cross;� daughters - Sue (Jim) Mitchell of Richmond, Cathy (Bob) Hays of Richmond; sons - Michael (Sande) Cross of Converse, Texas, Jeffrey (Kim) Cross of Richmond;� brothers - Gayle (Nancy) Cross of Centerville, Mike (Mary) Brooke of Frankfort, Indiana;� sister - Norma (Tom) Brown of Richmond;� 10 grandchildren 4 great grandchildren and a great grandchild to be born at the end on July; nieces and nephews�In addition to his parents, a brother, Bill Cross, and a sister, Sue Hickman, are also deceased.�Services will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday (July 8, 2008) in Saint Paul Lutheran Church (121 South 18th St.).� Pastor Robert Meckley will officiate.� Burial will be in Lutherania Cemetery.� Friends may call on Monday (July 7, 2008) from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. www.riggle-waltermann.com
