Bernice Cole, age 87, of Richmond, died Tuesday morning (April 14, 2009) at Rose Gate Village. She was born in Madisonville, Tennessee on February 22, 1922 To Sidney and Rose Crowder Moses and had lived here most of her life. She had worked as a pastry chef and she was a homemaker. Survivors include her daughter - Linda (Mark) Laymon of Richmond; sons - James (Paulette) Cole of Richmond, Larry (Kathy) Cole of Richmond, Ron (Becky) Cole of Centerville; brothers - Virgil Moses of Pennsylvania, Junior Moses, Forest Moses and Jerry Moses all of Madisonville, Tennessee; sister - Roberta of Birmingham, Alabama; 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Leroy and Corbin Moses, are also deceased. Private services will be held on Thursday (April 16, 2009) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Charles McMahan will officiate. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. There will be no public visitation.
