Charles D. Burden, age 81, of New Paris, died Saturday morning (September 20, 2003) at Reid Hospital. He was born in New Paris on October 9, 1921 to Lawrence and Wava McCown Burden and had lived in New Paris most of his life. He was a retired 43 year employee of Belden Wire and Cable and was the owner/.operator of
C & B Auto Sales. He was a US Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include: Wife - Virginia Burden (to whom he was married 20 years)
Daughter - Donna Bradley of Indianapolis
5 Step-children
3 Grandchildren
A daughter, Margo White, and two sisters are also deceased.
Services will be held at 1:30 pm Indiana Time (2:30 pm Ohio Time) on Tuesday (September 23, 2003) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary, 32 South 11th St. Richmond. Rev. Paul Mingus will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday (September 22, 2003) from 4:00 to 6:00 pm Indiana Time (5:00 to 7:00 pm Ohio Time) at the funeral home. www.riggle-waltermann.com
