Darrel T. Fernsler, age 88, formerly of Richmond, died Monday morning (August 14, 2006) at the Whetstone Care Center in Columbus, Ohio.� He was born in Nashville, Ohio on May 7, 1918 to Willard and Helen Smith Fernsler and had lived in Greenville, Ohio where he was active in the Treaty City Band before moving to Richmond in 1963.�� He was an Army Air Corp veteran of World War II and was the retired Secretary/Treasurer of Joseph H. Hill Company.� Darrel and his wife, Jennie Fernsler who died in 1999, movd to Columbus in 1997 where they were members of Linworth United Methodist Church.� They were former members of First United Methodist Church in Richmond.

Survivors include his daughter - Bonnie (Charles) Wickersham of Columbus, Ohio
�Son - Ron (Jenny) Fernsler of Indianapolis;
�Sister - Martha Jean Schafer of Mansfield, Ohio;
�Grandchildren - Hannah (Christopher) McAdams, Leah Fernsler, Kate Wickersham,��� Charlie (Autumn) Wickersham and Maggie Wickersham.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday (August 18, 2006) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary.� David Ashbaugh will officiate.� Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery in Palestine, Ohio.� Friends may call on Thursday (August 17, 2006) from 5:00 pm to 8:00� pm at the funeral home.�
