Donald G. Jackson, age 77, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning (April 5, 2011) at his residence. He was born in Richmond on May 24, 1933 to Ben and Edna Wray Jackson and had lived in this area all of his life. He served with the United States Marine Corp in Korea and was a retired employee of the Richmond Sanitary District. Survivors include his wife of 57 years - Nancy Laura Jackson; children - Gloria (Jack) Snoddy of Richmond, Lori Anne (Ed) Sistrunk of Idaho, Joanna (Mike) Cameron of Shelbyville, Indiana; brothers - Michael Jackson of Richmond, David (Charlotte) Jackson of Webster, Clayton (Brenda) Jackson of Tennessee; sister - Patricia (Charles) Harrison of Indianapolis; grandsons - Luke Swayze of Idaho, Brandon Snoddy of Richmond, Leighton Cameron, Keifer Cameron and Dalton Cameron all of Shelbyville; granddaughter - Shannon Snoddy of Williamsburg; great grandchildren - Adrian Hindsley, Alivia Arvin and Wylan Michael Cameron; nieces and nephews.
