Donald R. Stanley, age 92, of Richmond, passed away Thursday (September 18, 2014) at Arbor Trace. He was born on December 11, 1921 in Hamilton, Ohio to Lloyd W. and Glenna H. Gage Stanley. Donald was a veteran of WWII. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church for approximately 50 years. Donald was the retired president of Armstrong Heating and Plumbing Company and was an avid golfer. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Ruth; his children Glenn (Carolyn) Stanley, Karen (Michael) Harris and Larry (Susan) Stanley; grandchildren Jill (Matt) Karns, Brooke Harris, Brian (Cheryl) Stanley, Jason (Jennifer) Harris, Nathan Stanley, Rachel Stanley and Allison Harris; great grandchildren Alexis McFarland and Grace Karns; brother Marvin Stanley. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son Dale (Lonny) Stanley and granddaughters Erin and Kelly Stanley. Visitation for Donald will be held on Saturday (October 11, 2014) from 1:00 P.M. to 2:30 P.M. in Riggle �" Waltermann mortuary. Pastor Charles Black will officiate. Services will be held at 2:30 P.M. with at Private memorial service for family to follow at the cemetery.
