Donald E. Turner, age 83, of Richmond, died Tuesday afternoon (November 3, 2009) at Arbor Trace. He was born in Richmond on June 10, 1926 to Emerson Jack and Ethel Phillips Turner and had lived here most of his life. He was a US Army veteran of World War II and a retired employee of the former Pennsylvania Railroad. Survivors include his children - Richard (Marjorie) Turner of Richmond, Donald Wayne (Beth) Turner of California, Vickie (Denver) Combs of Richmond; brother - Bill Turner of Richmond, Timothy Turner of Richmond; sister - Louann Oakerson of Muncie; 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, a brother, Keith Turner, is also deceased. Services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday (November 9, 2009) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. James Drown will officiate. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday (November 8, 2009) from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
