Elmer V. Quinter, age 77, of Richmond, died Tuesday evening (March 30, 2004) at Reid Hospital. He was born in Cranberry Prairie, Ohio on June 26, 1926 to Phillip and Rose Klosterman Quinter and had lived in this area most of his life. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and was a retired employee of the Dana Distribution Center. He was a member of Saint Andrew Church and was an active member, past president and board member of the YMI. He was also a member of the Dana Retirees.
Survivors include - Wife - Janet Quinter to whom he was married 54 years
Son - David P. Quinter of Richmond
Daughters - Terri Quinter of Richmond
Ann Short of Richmond
Sister - Alice Rish of Phoenix, Arizona
Granddaughter - Crystal Short
Nieces & Nephews
Two sisters, Mary Ann Testa and Deloris Sturgis and two brothers, Paul and Harold Quinter are also deceased.
A prayer service will be held at 9:30 am on Saturday (April 3, 2004) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Andrew Church. Father Steve Giannini will officiate. Burial will be in Saint Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday (April 2, 2004) from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
