Evelyn M. Pruitt, formerly of Richmond, died Tuesday morning (May 1, 2007) at Legacy Hospice House in Ocala, Florida.� She was born in Richmond on June 24, 1920 to Leonard and Mabel Williams Englebert and had lived here all of her life.� She had lived at Interfaith Housing from 1984 until moving� to New York in 2002.� She then moved to Florida in 2006.� She was a nurse's aide and a retired 23 year employee of Reid Hospital.� She was a former member of Central Baptist Church.� Her husband, Elijah Pruitt, died on February 9, 1985.

Survivors include her son - Raymond Keffer of Ocala, Florida; Daughter - Mabel Hill of Richmond; 3 Step-sons; 1 Step-daughter; 7 Grand; 16 Great Grandchildren;� nieces & nephews.� She also leaves two special friends - Becky Mathews of Richmond and Barb Davis of Kansas City.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday (May 5, 2007) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary.� Rev. Eston Poling, Jr. will officiate.� Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery.� Friends may call on Friday (My 4, 2007) from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home
