Frank Holecheck, age 97, of Richmond, passed away Saturday (May 10, 2014) at Indiana Veterans Home in West Lafayette, Indiana. He was born in Richmond on March 6, 1917 to Vaclav and Mary Zycekova Holecheck. He lived in Richmond all of his life until a year ago when he moved to the Indiana Veterans Home in West Lafayette. He was married for 61 years until his wife Mickey passed away. He served his country in the US Navy during WWII where he served on the USS Casablanca. He was an avid bowler, his friends at Do Re Mi Lanes called him "Old Man", he was a member of the local IBEW 855 and had served as treasurer and business agent. He was always busy doing something whether it was working on his cars, keeping his yard maintained or spending time with his family, he lived his long and wonderful life to the fullest. Survivors include his daughters - Sandy Koger of Lafayette, Indiana, Linda (Jeff) Giles of Fishers, Indiana; son - Danny (Sherry) Holecheck of Orlando, Florida; grandchildren - Michael (Tammy) Koger, Stephen Koger, Sarah Koger, Tyler Giles, Lauren Giles, Lindsey Giles, Kelly Holecheck, Melissa (Jerry) Haggerty; great grandchildren - Kaitlyn and Matthew Koger; sister - Henrietta North; nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, his wife Ada M. "Mickey" Holecheck, one brother: Bill Holecheck and one sister: Mary Martin are also deceased. Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday (May 17, 2014) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Phil Hodgkin will officiate. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery where Military graveside services will be conducted by the Wayne County Honor Guard. Friends may call on Saturday (May 17, 2014) from 12:00 - 2:00 P.M.
