Fred W. Merritt, age 66, of Richmond, died Monday (November 20, 2006) at his residence.� He was born in Peekskill, New York on September 19, 1940 to Walter and Lillian Gallo Merritt and had lived here since 1970.� He had worked in construction and was the owner/operator of the former Merritt Produce. He was a veteran of the US Army and was a member of the American Legion and� the Marine Corp League.

Survivors include his daughter Jennifer Parker of Richmond;

Son - Tony Merritt of Richmond;

Good friends Debbie and Rooster Sturges of Richmond;

Services will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday (November 24, 2006) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary.� Rev. Paul Mingus will officiate.� Burial will be later in Saint Mary Cemetery.� Friends may call on Friday (November 24, 2006) from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
