George P. Altizer, age 63, of Richmond, died Friday (June 3, 2005) at the Dayton Veterans Administration Medical Center. He was born on May 16, 1942 in Slagle, West Virginia to Bovy and Flossie Roberts Altizer and had lived in this area most of his life. He was a retired machinist for Hoffco and he was a US Army veteran of the Korean War.

Sister - Joyce (Ted) Brinegar of Glen Jean, West Virginia

His first wife, Annalee Mitchell Altizer, a sister, Glora Altizer, and three brothers, James Dewey Altizer, Ernest Altizer and Earl Altizer are also deceased
Services will be held at 2:00pm on Monday (June 6, 2005) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. William Grimes will officiate. Burial will be in Elkhorn Cemetery where military graveside services will be conducted by the Wayne County Veterans Council. Friends may call on Monday (June 6, 2005) from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
