James Eri Williams, age 94, of Centerville, Indiana and formerly of New Paris, Ohio died Saturday morning (August 15, 2009) at Arbor Trace. He was born in Knox County, Indiana on November 5, 1914 to James and Edith Bishop Williams and had lived in this area most of his life. He was US Navy veteran of World War II. He was a life member and past commander of VFW Post 1108 and of American Legion Post 315. He was also a life member of American Legion Post 360 (New Paris, Ohio) and a life member of the Druids Lodge. He was a retired employee of International Harvester and of the Richmond State Hospital. His wife, Estelle Williams, died in 1983 Survivors include his daughter - Joyce Breeding of Centerville; brother - Paul Williams of Illinois; sisters - Elizabeth Kinsey and Jean Kinsey of Phoenix, Arizona, JoAnn Bush of Jasper, Indiana, Pauline Hughes of Patoka, Indiana; grandchildren - Marcella Ross, Robert J. Meyer, Angie Wadsworth, Byron "Hank" Wadsworth; 6 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, a daughter - Linda Wadsworth, three sisters - Lydia Bryant, Leona Hasse, Charlotte Ford and two brothers - Lester and Albert Williams, are also deceased. Friends may call on Wednesday (August 19, 2009) from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Services will be conducted in Princeton, Indiana with burial in Patoka Cemetery.
