Rebecca Sue Sparks went to her eternal home with the Lord on Tuesday March 11th. Becky was born to Bob and Virginia Lakamp on October 28th, 1949 in Richmond, Indiana. Although she loved to travel, she called Richmond her home her whole life. Becky had a rewarding career as a Registered Nurse at Reid Hospital for over 40 years. She was also proud to be part of the first class to graduate from the IU East Nursing program.

Becky loved sewing, computer games, trips to the casino, but above all else, a delicious home cooked meal shared with family. Becky was an animal lover who had many pets throughout her life, but her most cherished was her little dog Abby. Becky's memory will be cherished by her loving husband of 60 years, Danny, who cared for her tirelessly at the end of her life with the help of her amazing nurses with Reid Hospice. Becky is also survived by her sister Barbara (Larry) Walters; daughter Shelli (Ron) Ross; son Randy (Sherri) Sparks; grandchildren Rob (Tyler) Ludwig, Ashlei (Bryan) Bailey, great-granddaughters Kalysa, Akhila, and Brylei; Sister-in-Law Janie McEwen; nieces Carlie McEwen, Kelsey (Devin) McEwen, and Carrie (Gary) Swartout; nephews Jared (Jennifer) Walters, and Lance Walters; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Becky is preceded in death by her parents and grandson Kevon Wayne Sparks.

The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to her sister-in-law Janie, as well as the nurses, aides, and social workers with Reid Hospice who provided the best care imaginable for her end of life journey.

Becky's life will be celebrated privately with her family at a later date. There will be no public service per her wishes.
