Rick L. Porter, age 77, of Richmond passed away peacefully on Thursday September 11, 2025. He was born on August 30, 1948 to Richard and Betty McCloud Porter in Richmond, Indiana. Rick enjoyed playing cards and listening to country music. He was an avid bowler for the majority of his life. Rick was often a man of few words, but he had a great laugh and a big heart. He will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his children Jeannie Porter, Christi (Chris) Nash and Greg (Tamara) Harrison; grandchildren Brandon Porter, Haley Milholland, Dylan and Lexi Nash, Kaden and Lexi Palecio; 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his wife Nancy; parents Richard and Betty; son-in-law Mark and son Rickey.
Services for Rick will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday September 20, 2025, at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Burial will follow in Lutherania Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 5-7pm on Friday September 19, 2025 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Rick's name to the American Cancer Society (5635 West 96th Street Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46278).
