Ronald G. Orr, age 83, passed away on Wednesday (February 8th 2017) at Golden Living Center. He was born in Richmond on December 28th 1933 to Herschel & Virginia Orr and lived in the area all his life. He served in the United States Air Force and worked at Wallace Metal and Richmond State Hospital as a Psychiatric Attendant for 39 years. He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed spending time with his family and shopping for bargains in his retirement.
Survivors include his children Tim G. Orr and Lora L. (Jeff) Vanzant; grandchildren Marisa Vanzant (John McPherson) and Angel Micks. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 24 years Joyce Orr; son Thomas Orr, daughter Elizabeth Demers and brother Richard Orr.
