Ruth Ellen Haskett of Richmond, Indiana went home to be with her Lord on November 15, 2023, surrounded by her loving family and faithful dog "Precious".

She was born in Richmond, Indiana on June 11, 1943, to John W. Alvey Sr. and Hazel I (Mitchell) Alvey. Ruth was a member of the Nazarene Church of Centerville. She retired from the state hospital and spent countless hours volunteering at Reid hospital. The family would like to send a special "Thank You" to Virginia and to the other staff at Reid Hospice and Isaiah at Dasco and their other staff members for their help and exceptional care during Ruths final days.

Survivors include her siblings Phyllis Ann (Michael) Hildebrand, Bonnie J. (Clay) Kenworthy, John (Deanna) Alvey and Phillip (Lucille) Alvey; special friend Mary Johnson; Many church friends; cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Hazel Alvey and sisters Edna Pittman, Carolyn L. Schwab and Esther Mock

Pastor Trevor Stanley will officiate graveside services at 12pm on Tuesday November 28, 2023, in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary is handling arrangements.
