Ruth L. Means, age 98, of Centerville, died Sunday morning (January 6, 2008) at Friends Fellowship Community.� She was born in Wayne County, Indiana on May 20, 1909 to Chester and Nellie R. Davis and had lived here all of her life.� She was a graduate of Centerville High School and attended Forty Wayne Business College.� She was a homemaker and a member of Centerville Christian Church, the Centerville Women's Club and the Daughters of the American Revolution.�� Her husband, Russell C. "Tip" Means, died in 1976.
Survivors include two granddaughters - Debbie (Chuck) Beauchamp of Indianapolis and Cynthia Means;� 3 Great Grandchildren.� Her son, Ronald Means, died in 2001.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday (January 12, 2008) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary in Richmond.� Pastor Steve Abernathy will officiate.� Burial will be in Elkhorn Cemetery.� Friends may call on Saturday (January 12, 2008) from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
