Scott George, age 69 of Richmond died Friday May 9, 2025, at Reid Hospital. He was born in Wayne County, Indiana to Roger and Helen Myers George on October 7, 1955, and attended Ball State University. Scott retired from First Bank Richmond after 43+ years as the Vice President of Information Technology. He married his loving wife, Denise Brown George, on May 6, 2005, in Centerville, Indiana. Scott enjoyed going to concerts, spending time with his loving family and Formula 1 racing and IndyCar racing.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Denise George; children Ryan (Kathy) George, Caitlin (Josh) George, Brett (Michael) Fansher all of Richmond and Brooke Warren of West Carrolton, OH; grandchildren Harrison and Madelyn Pardo, Thatcher, Aiden, Lillyann, Brantley and Addison George all of Richmond and Hunter Defibaugh of West Carrolton, OH; sister Lisa Mims of Little Elm, TX; father Roger George; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Scott is preceded in death by his mother Helen Myers George; daughter Jennifer Marie George and grandparents Clarence "Pat" and Nellie Myers.

Services for Scott will be held at 2pm on Monday May 19, 2025, at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11am-2pm at the funeral home.
