Shirley J. Parker, age 77, of Richmond, died Monday evening (July 27, 2009) at Reid Hospital. She was born in Richmond on November 26, 1931 to Frank and Ruby Ross Wynkoop and had lived here all of her life. She was a graduate of Boston High School and was a retired employee of the Joseph H. Hill Company. She was a member of Saint Andrew Church. Shirley enjoyed painting and was a member of the Richmond Art Association. Her husband, Joseph Parker Sr., died on November 13, 1993. Survivors include her daughters - Deborah Sims of Shelbyville, Indiana, Diane Parker of Richmond, Dawn Wonsik of Illinois; sons - Joseph Parker of Richmond and John (Carissa) Parker of Richmond; sisters - Doris Kauffman of Pinellas Park, Florida, Willodean Farno of Lebanon, Ohio; grandchildren - Tiffany Wonsik, Erin Parker, Devon Parker, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, a brother, Keith Wynkoop, and a sister, Gloria Jean Bricker, are also deceased. A prayer service will be held at 9:30 am on Saturday (August 1, 2009) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Andrew Church. Burial will be in Saint Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday (July 31, 2009) from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
