Virginia L. Ullery, age 87, of Richmond, died Monday evening (June 4, 2012) at her residence. She was born in Indianapolis on July 30, 1924 to Martin V. and Lucille DeLap Cox and had lived in this area most of her life. She earned an associate's degree from Ivy Tech State College and was a retired employee of the Wayne County Office of the Division of Family and Children. She was a Life Member of the VFW Auxiliary and a former member of the American Legion, Moose Lodge, Druids Lodge and Eagles Lodge. Survivors include her sons - Doug (Leslie) Ullery of Richmond, Dennis Ullery of Florida, Ronald Ullery of Middletown, Ohio, Michael Ullery of Winchester, Indiana; 12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald W. Ullery. Public graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday (June 7, 2012) in Greens Fork (South) Cemetery. Rev. Steve Abernathy will officiate. There will be no public visitation. Thanks and gratitude are extended to Reid Hospice and special thanks to Leslie and her family for their long-time care and concern.
