William F. Rhodes, age 70, of Richmond, died Tuesday afternoon (March 27, 2012) at his residence. He was born in Greenville, Ohio on July 11, 1941 to George F. and Accle L. Rhodes and had lived here for the past 16 years. He was a retired diesel mechanic and a former member of the Marine Corp League in Richmond and the Eagles and Moose Lodges in Greenville. He was a member of the Druids Lodge in Richmond and the Sons of the American Legion in New Madison. Survivors include his children - Jerry Rhodes of Dandridge, Tennessee; Tammy Mitchell , Jami Rhodes, and Billy Rhodes all of Greenville, Ohio; special companion - Lois Moody of Richmond; brothers - Lloyd "Dusty" Rhodes of Pawtucket, RI, Paul G. Rhodes of Fort Wayne, Indiana; sister - Rachel Rhodes Jones of Greenville, Ohio; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, a daughter, Kelly Rhodes Clark, and two brothers, Donald L. Rhodes and George F. Rhodes, are also deceased. Services will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Friday (March 30, 2012) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Chaplain John Hudnall will officiate. Burial will be in Hollansburg Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday (March 30, 2012) from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the funeral home.
