Alex Michael Shepard, age 22, of Richmond, died Saturday (August 11, 2012) at his residence. He was born in Richmond on March 12, 1990 to Terry and Lynnette Cummins Shepard and had lived in this area all of his life. He was a 2008 graduate of Oak Park Academy.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his sister - Lisa (Brian) Peterson of Fishers, Indiana; brother - Aaron (Brady) Shepard of Carmel, Indiana; Maternal grandparents - Luther and Pauline Cummins of Richmond, maternal great grandparents - Henderson and Addie Holt of Richmond; paternal grandmother - Carol (Tom) Corum of Richmond; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. His paternal great grandfather, Curtis Shepard, is also deceased.

Services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday (August 16, 2012) in Oak Park Church (1920 Chester Blvd.). Pastor Kevin Arthur and Pastor Jim Toney will officiate. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery in Centerville. Friends may call on Thursday (August 16, 2012) from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the church.
