Alice Lorraine Jordan, age 84, of Richmond, died Wednesday evening (July 22, 2009) at Golden Living Center - Golden Rule. She was born in Richmond on March 28, 1925 to Bertie and Nellie Tiffany Decker and had lived here all of her life. She had worked for Richmond Baking Company and was a retired employee of Richmond State Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was a former member of the Eagles and the VFW and she enjoyed fishing and reading. Her former husband, Edward Jordan, is also deceased. Survivors include her daughter - Sandra Ann (Edward) Long of Wilkinson, Indiana; sons - Edward H. (Charlotte) Jordan, Jr. of Alexandria, Virginia, Daniel Jerome Jordan of Richmond; sisters - Mildred Ryan of Richmond, Martha Shawhan of Richmond; 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Edward Decker and Roy Decker, and two sisters, Mary Ellis and Elizabeth Ellis, are also deceased. Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday (July 27, 2009) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Phillip Hodgkin will officiate. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday (July 27, 2009) from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
