Allie Mae Sparks, age 82, of Richmond, died Thursday afternoon (July 5, 2007) at Golden Rule - Beverly Healthcare.� She was born in Sandgap, Kentucky on October 24, 1924 to George and Ida Gay Murphy and had lived here since 1951.� She was a homemaker and a member of the House of Prayer Holiness Church.� Her husband, Earl L. Sparks, died on August 27, 2002.

Survivors include her son - Danny (Becky) Sparks of Richmond;� daughter - Janie (Bob) McEwen of Richmond;� sisters - Nanalou Isaacs of Berea, Kentucky and Lerraine (Everett) Potter of McKee, Kentucky;� 7 Grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Her son, Dwight Sparks, died on April 1, 2004

Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday (July 8, 2007) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary.
Rev. James Parrett will officiate.� Burial will be in Elkhorn Cemetery.� Friends may call on Sunday (July 8, 2007) from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
