Alma I. Merkamp, age 79, of Richmond, died Saturday evening (April 2, 2005) at Reid Hospital. She was born on June 26, 1925 in Williamsburg, Indiana to William and Ethel Mock Goodson and had lived in this area all of her life. She was a graduate of Boston High School and she was a member of Holy Family Church. She was a homemaker and had been employed by Radford's Meat Market. She was former 4-H volunteer and a former member of the Abington Home Economics Club.
Survivors include - Husband - Kenneth Merkamp to whom she was married 61 years

John Merkamp of Centerville
Daughters - Brenda Radford of Greens Fork
Marie Camden of Big Springs, Texas
Brother - Donald Goodson of Staten Island, NY

A prayer service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday (April 6, 2005) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 2:30 pm in Holy Family Church. Burial will be in Saint Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday (April 5, 2005) from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
