Alta Brandon, age 96, of Richmond, died Thursday (December 23, 2004) at Reid Hospital. She was born in Fayette County, Indiana on November 29, 1908 to Melvin and Cynthia Vandevender and had lived in this area most of her life. She has worked at the former International Harvester and was a retired employee of Alcoa. Her husband, Henry O. Brandon, died on April 14, 2002.

Services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday (December 30, 2004) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Dixie Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday (December 29, 2004) from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. www.riggle-waltermann.com
