Alverta Marlene "Momma" Mullins, age 69, of Richmond, died Thursday afternoon (November 19, 2009) at Reid Hospital. She was born in Richmond on December 16, 1939 to Clifford Yingst and Alverta French Yingst Bass and had lived here all of her life. Marlene worked as a waitress and cook for various local restaurants. Her husband, Donald A. Mullins, died on May 17, 2004 Survivors include her children - Darlene Walcott of Richmond, Jamie (Greg) Gellinger of Richmond, Joy (Mike) West of Richmond, Tim (Sandy) Garrett of Richmond, Mark (Tami) Garrett of Richmond, Tammy Kegley of Richmond; step-daughter - Jill Phillips of Union City, Indiana; sisters- Judith (Bob) Wilson of Brookville, Indiana, Meriam Cox of Fountain City; 19 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, a brother, Roland Yingst, is also deceased. Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday (November 23, 2009) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Allen Henderson will officiate. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday (November 22, 2009) from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
