Andrew G. Marinakes, age 49, formerly of Richmond, died Saturday (March 20, 2010) at Community East Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born in Richmond on August 23, 1960 to George and Mary Darmas Marinakes and had lived in Indianapolis for the past 20 years. He was a 1978 graduate of Richmond High School and had worked for Marinakes Shoe Service (Richmond) where he learned the shoe repair trade. He was the owner and operator of AGM Leather (Indianapolis). He was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church. Survivors include his wife - Suzanne Marinakes, son - George (Sophia) Marinakes; parents - George and Mary Marinakes of Richmond, brother - Ted (Lynn) Marinakes of Richmond, sister - Chris (Dan) Buckland of Noblesville; grandson - Aiden Marinakes; nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday (March 23, 2010) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Father Mark Emroll of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church (Dayton) will officiate.
