Andrew C. Reichter, age 89, passed away on Monday (August 14th 2017) at Reid Hopsital. He was born in Wayne county on August 26, 1927 to Earl & Myrtle Reichter and had lived in this area all his life. After his graduation from Richmond High School, he joined the U.S. Army. Upon his return to Richmond, he worked at Huffy, and later John's Manville as an inspector. After his retirement, he became an artist. He used old farm equipment to create sculptures of animals. He won many awards for his art. Andrew enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to flea markets for deals, and family cookouts.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years Mary Reichter; children Andy Reichter, Tony (Julie) Reichter, and Penny Marie Reichter; grandchildren Kaly Marie (Devin Irvine) Reichter, Kevin (Pam Bellido) Reichter, and Mark (Chuva Johnson) Brim; great grandchildren Eliot Brim and Cosmo Brim; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Richard Davis, Earl Reichter, Joe Reichter, and Audry Reichter. A sister Mary Baker is also deceased.
