Anita J Fries (Vance), age 68, formerly of Richmond, died Monday morning (September 25, 2023) surrounded by her family at home in Lehigh Acres, Florida. She was born in Richmond, Indiana on December 29, 1954 to Richard and Margaret Vance. She was a graduate of Richmond High School and then Parkview Methodist Nursing School where she obtained her Registered Nursing License. She relocated to Florida in 2005 where she continued to work in nursing and health care administration. She was a loving wife, mother, and enjoyed quilting, sewing, and knitting.

She is survived by her son Tim Fries of Lehigh Acres Florida; daughter Megan (Nick) Finn of Lehigh Acres Florida; and sister Teresa (Larry) Lunsford of Wesley Chapel, Florida; 2 nieces and 3 nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Martin L. "Marty" Fries, who died in 2019.

Services will be conducted at 12 noon on Saturday (September 30th, 2023) at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Shawn Crisman will officiate. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery in Connersville. Friends may call on Saturday (September 30th, 2023) from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the funeral home.
