Anthony "Tony" Charles Wicker, age 64 of Richmond passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Reid Hospital surrounded by his loved ones. He was born May 27, 1960, in Richmond, IN to Charles and Rosemary (Sanders) Wicker. Tony was a loving, caring man that had the biggest heart. If his family or friends needed him he would drop what he was doing and be there. He was a huge historian and loved going to Pennsylvania to watch the reenactment of Gettysburg over the 4th of July.
Anthony attended Union County Schools and then enlisted into the U.S. Army as a tank mechanic, where he was a Sgt. He served from 1977 to 1983 and then re-enlisted and served 1987 to 1990. He traveled around the states as a truck driver for Caregan Transport for 25 years. Tony enjoyed fishing, he loved being able to go on fishing trips with his son Duane and friends to Michigan. If the weather was nice you could see him riding his motorcycle. He rode any chance he could. His last ride was in November with his son Duane to Cincinnati to meet up with his brother Bruce for lunch. He had a passion for photography and a love of Classic Rock-N-Roll. He loved to sit back and listen to his favorite band "The Who". Most of all he loved spending time with his family and being able to prepare meals on the smoker for family gatherings. He made the best pulled pork around.
Tony was preceded in death by his father Charles Wicker, whom he deeply admired and carried forward the values and work ethic he learned from him, his Mother Rosemary Wicker, Sister Mary Peterson, whom he shared a special bond with, cherishing her love and guidance throughout his life, and Brother Cliff Wicker.
Left to cherish his memory is his significant other Tina Bowers; half-brother Bruce Pennington; children Duane (Amy) White Jr, Heather Schroeder, Matthew Wicker and Aaron Wicker; step-sons Mark (Jeni) Geis and Greg Geis; grandchildren Taylor, Logan, Kaiden and Baylee White, Nicole (Donald) and Joey Schroeder, Brett Southwood, Brady and Cooper Geis; nieces Anesta (Joshua) Zapf, Randi Peterson and Connie (Adam) Hoskins; nephew Keith (Christina) Peterson; great nieces and nephews, many friends and his best dog Wyatt.
