Bernard Eugene Shook, age 86, of Centerville, Indiana, passed away on November 1, 2021, surrounded by family. He was born February 5, 1935, in Richmond, Indiana, the son of the late Bernard and Mildred Shook, he was one of five children. Bernard graduated from Boston High School and had previously worked at Knowles Tools. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends and family. He was a proud father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great grandfather, and husband. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Gene leaves to cherish his memory three loving daughters Donna York (Pat Callahan), Linda (Lucy-Lou) Shepard and Carolyn (Tony) Garvin; one loving stepdaughter Diane Moore (James Moore); one sister Nancy (Bobby) Atwell; a whole host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and his ex-wife Nancy. He is preceded in death by his parents; wives Lucy, and Donna; brothers Ronald, Carl, and Bob; and his wonderful daughter Marilyn Hensley.

Services for Bernard will be held on Friday November 5, 2021, at 1:00 P.M. at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Minister Cherri Brown-Jett will officiate. Burial will immediately follow in Lutherania Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. on Friday November 5, 2021, at the funeral home.
