Bettie Ruth Donovan, age 89, of Richmond passed away Monday (June 1, 2015) at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on July 7, 1925 to William and Elizabeth "Bess" Cadaret. She graduated from Waite High School in Toledo, Ohio and lived most of her life there. She also lived in Paulo Alto, California before she moved back to Richmond. Bettie was a talented artist especially when it came to painting and she was very fond of crafts.
She is survived by her children Dennis Donovan and Ruth "Kathy" (Rodney) Smalley; sister in law who was more like a sister Ruth Maiden; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Bettie is preceded in death by her husband Gerald Charles Donovan; 2 brothers and 3 sisters and Son Gerald Michael Donovan.
Services for Bettie will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday (June 20, 2015) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Graveside services will be held in Toledo Memorial Park in Toledo, Ohio on Wednesday (June 24, 2015) at 2:00 P.M.
