Betty J. Brinker, age 96, of Richmond, died Thursday afternoon (February 21, 2013) at Golden Living Center - Golden Rule. She was born in Richmond on November 19, 1916 to Howard and Edna Young Mashmeyer and had lived here all of her life. She was a graduate of Morton High School and had worked at Wright Patterson Air Force Base and for John's Custom Framing. She had been active with her husband in the Knights of Columbus and the Knights of Saint John. Her husband, Fred Brinker, died August 18, 2004. Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Heath of Richmond; grandchildren, Kevin Heath and Shy Spencer both of Aberdeen, Ohio; great granddaughters, Sarah and Lauren Heath; great great grandsons, Creston Fuller, Jayse Spencer. She was also preceded in death by her great grandson, Aiden Fuller, her sister, Janice Vosmeier and her first husband, John Klute. A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday (February 26, 2013) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Chaplain David Hogg will officiate. Friends may call on Tuesday (February 26, 2013) from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
