Betty J. Heitzman, age 94, of Richmond, Indiana was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday (September 16, 2018) at Reid Hospital. She was born in Connersville, Indiana to Herman and Helen Wills Ungeright on August 16, 1924. Betty was a graduate of Connersville High School. She was a devout Christian all her life and stayed very active in the community. During the war, Betty was a "Rosie The Riveter" and worked factory jobs in the country's time of need. She enjoyed walking every where she could and was a tissue donor.



Survivors include daughters Laura Moore and Theresa Clegg; sons Larry, Gary, Robert and David Heitzman; grandchildren Edward Wayne Barnes, Rico Clegg, Sheila, Heidi, Andrea Cardannis; step grand children Nathan Moore and Brandon Moore; Marcus Barnes, Mickey Barnes, Larissa Maiden, David Maiden, Brandon Clegg, Jacksen Cardannis and Xavier Roeder; 3 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews; sister in-law Janice Brantner. She is preceded in death by son in-law Robert W. Moore.



Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday (September 21, 2018) at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Burial will immediately follow at Earlham Cemetery. Pastor John Clegg will officiate the service. Friends and family may call from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
