Betty J. Horrigan, age 81, of Eaton, Ohio, died Tuesday (November 24, 2009) at Greenbriar Nursing Center in Eaton. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on February 2, 1928 to Joseph R. and Katharine Penland Litton and had lived in this area most of her life. Betty greatly enjoyed traveling and had the opportunity to visit numerous destinations all over the world. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a member of First Christian Church (Richmond). She was also a member of the Beta Mu Alpha Alumna Chapter of Delta Theta Tau Sorority. Survivors include her husband - Daniel E. Horrigan with whom she celebrated 62 years of marriage on November 23rd; daughter - Deborah Arbuckle of Sarasota, Florida; grandchildren - Mariel Arbuckle, Apryl (James) Napier, Alyssa Horrigan, Daniel Jonathon Horrigan; great grandchildren, Kolin Napier and Brenna Napier, sister - Kay Loudenslager; daughter-in-law - Joanna Horrigan. Her son, Daniel M. Horrigan, died on September 1, 2007. A memorial service will conducted at 2:00 pm on Tuesday (December 29, 2009) in First Christian Church (100 South 10th Street) Rev. David Layman will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris, Ohio. Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
