Betty J. Hunt, age 75, passed away on Friday (January 6th 2017) in Winchester with her family by her side. She was born in Richmond on November 30th 1941 to Wilbur and Alice Toney and had lived here her entire life. Betty was a homemaker who enjoyed spending her time at the Tally – Ho Pub. She also enjoyed listening to music, particulary Tim McGraw.
Survivors include her children Walter D. Toney of New Castle, Frank E. (Marilyn Stikeleather) Gray of Winchester, Mary E. Allen of Richmond; Step children Alan Hunt of Richmond and Leanne (Tracy) Hunt of Union City, Ohio; siblings Walter Toney of California, Donna Jean Bozarth of Richmond, and Jack Lee Toney of Richmond; 9 grandchildren; several step grandchildren; nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 31 years Elmo Hunt; daughters Freda June Montero and Vickie Sue Gray; granddaughter Tina Toney; stepsons Sunny Hunt and Buddy Hunt; and sisters Connie Cook, Carolyn Cook, and Jane Rader.
Services for Betty will be held on Tuesday (January 10th 2017) at 12 p.m. in Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary. Pastor Harold Young will officiate. Burial will follow in Earlham Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
