Betty A. Porter, age 85, passed away on Thursday (September 17th 2015) at Reid Hospital. She was born in Vincennes, Indiana on July 8th 1930 and had lived in this area most of her life. She had worked at Sear's, and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Betty enjoyed playing cards and board games, and liked to go to the senior center and play euchre with her friends. Survivors include her son Rick (Nancy) Porter; granddaughter Jeannie Porter; great grandsons Ricky Porter and Brandon Scott Porter; great granddaughter Haley (Chase) Milholland; nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Richard Porter, grandson Ricky Porter Jr., sister Catherine Thornton, and brother Chuck McCloud. Services for Betty will be held on Monday (September 21st 2015) at 10:30 a.m. in Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Pastor Robert Meckley will officiate. Burial will follow in Lutherania Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
