Betty Stubbs, age 81, of Richmond, died Saturday morning (February 11, 2012) at Reid Hospital. She was born in Greens Fork on March 16, 1930 to Raymond and Jeanette Merkamp Weiss and had lived in this area all of her life. She was a graduate of Geens Fork High School and was a retired employee of the former Second National Bank. Betty was an active member of Saint Andrew Church and was a member of Catholic Women United and of the American Business Womens Association. Her husband of sixty two years, Richard Stubbs, died August 25, 2011. Survivors include her children - Wayne (Jackie) Stubbs of Elkhart, Indiana, Kathy (Gary) TenBrink of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Karen (Jim) Morford of Kalamazoo, Michigan; brothers - Charles Weiss of Richmond and Ed Weiss of Daleville, Indiana; grandchildren - Jason (Susan) TenBrink, Kari (Kevin) Marcial, Amy TenBrink, Nicholas Stubbs, Alec Stubbs; 5 great grandchildren. A son, Stephen Stubbs, is also deceased. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday (February 15, 2012) in Saint Andrew Church. Father Todd Riebe will officiate. Burial will be in Saint Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday (February 14, 2012) from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary.
