Betty L. Thomas, age 84, of Richmond, died Thursday morning ( November 17, 2011) at Reid Hospital. She was born in Charlottesville, Indiana on May 16, 1927 and had lived here most of her life. She had worked for the former Natco and the former Busch's Fabrics and had been employed by the WIC Program. She was a member of Saint John Lutheran Church. Her husband, Charles Thomas, died on February 27, 2006 Survivors include her sons - Steve (Noi) Thomas of Fayetteville, NC, Mike (Janet) Thomas of Richmond, Mark (Karen) Thomas of Richmond, grandchildren - Jason Thomas, Jasmine Westmoreland, Angie (Toby) Harvey, Josh and Jennifer Thomas, Traci, Todd and Tim Thomas; great grandchildren - Gabrielle and Jacob Thomas, Mason and Max Harvey, Aubrey Thomas, Mallory Sparks, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, a brother, James Howell, and sister, Janice Clark, are also deceased. Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday (November 22, 2011) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Pastor James Culver will officiate. Burial will be in Lutherania Cemetery.
