Billy Jack Braughton, age 45, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday February 25, 2025 at Reid Health. He was born in Richmond, Indiana on April 13, 1979 to James Melvin Braughton Sr. and Linda Lucille (Morrison) Braughton. Billy graduated from Hagerstown High School, worked as a self-employed handyman and enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. He had such a kind heart, was always helpful and was an all-around good guy. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory is his stepson Billy Jack Cloud, for whom he treated like his own; step granddaughter Aurora; siblings Penny (Gary) Huckery, Joanna Newman, Jamie (Pat) Altizer and James (Michelle) Braughton; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Billy is preceded in death by his sister Tina Cook and two nephews.
