In Loving Memory of Bobby Destry Butler. With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Bobby Destry Butler, who left this world on October 13, 2025, at the age of 61. Born on May 15, 1964, in Richmond, Indiana, to Jack and Norma Jean (Doan) Butler, Bob was a proud 1983 graduate of Northeastern High School and a lifelong resident of the community he loved.
Bob was the owner and operator of Hoosier Electric, where he built a strong reputation for his skill, honesty, and hardworking spirit. His dedication to his craft earned him lasting friendships and deep respect from colleagues and customers alike.
Outside of work, Bob found joy in simple pleasures, such as riding 4-wheelers and dirt bikes, grilling out, and spending time with those he loved. Especially his children.
Bob is survived by his daughters Ashley Creech and Katie Butler; Step-son Scott; sister Cindy Dixon; brother James "Jim" Butler; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his son Lee Butler, parents Jack and Jean Butler, and sister Susie.
Bob's life was marked not only by love and laughter but also by struggle. He fought bravely against the disease of addiction, a battle that too many families know too well. In honoring his memory, Ashley asks that anyone struggling with drug or alcohol addiction reach out for help. There is hope, there is healing, and there are people who care. You are not alone in your fight.
A private graveside service was held Friday October 17th at Goshen Cemetery.
Bob will be remembered for his big heart, his humor, and the way he always tried to help others.
