Bobby J. Cosgrove, age 43, formerly of Richmond, died Tuesday (March 20, 2007) near Silver Point, Tennessee. He was born in Richmond on June 20, 1963 to James K. and Kay Handy Cosgrove and had lived here most of his life before moving to Tennessee five months ago. Bobby was last seen and talked to by his family on the weekend of March 16-18. His car was found parked by the side of the road at Hurricane Bridge in DeKalb County, Tennessee. He left personal belongings in the car and a note that said he was "tired of living". His family members helped in the search until he was found on Saturday (March 24, 2007) around 5:00 pm at Center Hill Lake about 1.5 miles south of the Hurricane Bridge. He was a graduate of Richmond High School and had served in the US Marine Corp from 1982 to 1984. He had worked in various factories in this area.
Survivors include his brother Rodney James Cosgrove of Clarksville, TN;
Sisters - Tina Cosgrove of Richmond, Sandra Webb of Richmond, Brenda Tucker of Silver Point, TN., and Angela Goss of Hoschton, GA.
Services will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday (March 31, 2007) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Paul Mingus will officiate. Burial will be in Chester Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday (March 30, 2007) from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
