Brenda Radford, age 73 passed away Thursday June 6, 2024 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Richmond, Indiana on February 9, 1951 to Kenneth and Alma Goodson Merkamp. Brenda was a 1969 graduate of Centerville High School. She married her true love Jack Radford on August 14th 1970 in Holy Family Catholic Church in Richmond, Indiana, together they raised 3 beautiful children: Stephanie, Rhonda and Jeremiah. Brenda and Jack owned and operated Radford's Slaughterhouse for 15 plus years then in 1992 they opened Radford's Meat Market and Deli which they owned and operated until 2015. Brenda enjoyed tending to her garden and baking delicious treats for her family and friends to enjoy, she will be dearly missed.

Left to cherish her family are her husband of 53 years Jack Radford; children Stephanie (Chris) Wright, Rhonda (Scott) VanDonselaar and Jeremiah Radford; 5 grandchildren Matthew (Kristin), Tyler, Savanna (Thomas), Jackson and Weston; 2 great grandchildren Gavin and Raelynn; sister Marie Camden and brother Malcolm Merkamp. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her siblings Norma Darrah and John Merkamp.

Deacon Jim Miller will officiate services for Brenda on Monday June 10, 2024 at 1pm at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Burial will follow in St. Andrew Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday June 10, 2024 from 11am-1pm at the funeral home.
