Brent E. Hartman, age 63, of Muncie passed away Tuesday (May 27, 2014) at his home. He was born in Covington, Kentucky on March 15, 1951 to Leonard E and Sue Cox Hartman. He moved to the Richmond area with his family when he was 14 and had lived here most of his life. He was a very giving and good hearted person who loved to fish and play bingo. He loved drinking coffee, coke and slushies and enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors include his mother Sue; daughters Holly (Rob) Smith of Ft. Myers, Florida, Nichole (Doug) Miller of Boiling Springs, South Carolina, Erica Hartman of Boiling Springs, South Carolina, Jeremy (Shelly) Swoveland of Muncie, IN and Rick Swoveland of Muncie, IN; brothers Bruce (Cathy) Hartman, Brad Hartman, Randy (Lisa) Hartman; sisters Peggy (Bob) Hampton, Cheryl (Gary) Fowler, Barbara (Mervin) Baumgartner and Lisa Cougill; 13 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; several aunts and uncles and several nieces and nephews. Including his father he is preceded in death by his special friend Beverly Swoveland and his brother Brian. Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday (May 30, 2014) at Union Chapel United Methodist Church (3909 W 950 S Lynn, IN 47355). Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pastor Jeff Bollard will officiate. Friends may call from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. on Friday (May 30, 2014) at the church.
