Dr. Candice Beth Flaugher D.O.,age 46, passed away on May 9, 2018 following complications from a horrific car accident on April 23, 2018. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on May 15, 1971. She is survived by her parents James and Elaine Flaugher of Dayton, Ohio; paternal grandmother Marthalee Flaugher currently of Englewood, Ohio; her sisters Catherine Ackerman (Christopher) of Richmond Indiana and Christina Flaugher of Dayton, Ohio; niece Caitlin Ackerman of West Carrollton, Ohio; and nephew Daniel Ackerman of Fort Wayne Indiana. Candice was a 1989 graduate of Wayne High School. She Graduated from Wright State University in 1994 with a Bachelors of Science in Biology and Environmental Health Sciences. She received her Master of Science in Toxicology from Rochester University in New York and graduated from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2002. Candice completed her residency in Toledo and a fellowship in rheumatology in Fort Worth, Texas in 2009. Dr. Flaugher was employed at Reid Health in Richmond, Indiana and had clinics in Winchester and Connersville, Indiana as well as Greenville and Huber Heights, Ohio. Candice loved her cats and dog and enjoyed exploring the world on her frequent cruises. She cherished her patients, her coworkers, her staff and her friends. Her infectious smile and generous spirit will be missed by all. Visitation will be held on Monday, (May 14, 2018) from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Lighthouse Assembly of God (2339 West Cart Road, Richmond, Indiana 47374). Funeral service will also be held at Lighthouse Assembly of God at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday (May 15, 2018) with Pastor Ralph Holdeman officiating. A private graveside service will be held at a later date..
