Carolyn Ann Coons, age 78, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2015, at Cobblestone Health Campus in Terre Haute. She was born on July 8, 1936 in Richmond to Edwin & Katherine Zwissler. She had lived in Centerville for most of her life and was a cafeteria aide in Centerville-Abington Community schools for many years. Carolyn loved spending time with her family, particularly her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her sons Robert (Rob) and Tammy Coons of Terre Haute and Thomas (Tom) and Cathy Coons of Columbus, Indiana; Brothers John (Jack) and Shirley Zwissler of Richmond and Robert (Bob) Zwissler; grandchildren Lauren Coons, Lindsey Coons, Michael Coons, and Harmony Johnson; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Alan Coons. Services for Carolyn will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015, at 12 p.m. in Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary.
