Carolyn S. Dils, age 85, of Richmond, Indiana, went to be with the Lord on June 29, 2026. Born on March 28, 1941, in Richmond, she lived her life with passion and compassion, dedicating many years to serving others as a Qualified Medical Assistant (QMA) in home healthcare for Reid Health. Carolyn found comfort in her faith as a Christian, she was a wonderful mother and grandmother who will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered.

Carolyn was known for her vibrant spirit and love of dancing, which brought joy not only to her but to those around her. Her legacy continues through her loving family, including her sons, Tony Boswell and Randy (Theresa) Boswell; her cherished grandchildren, Brooks Boswell, Brad Boswell, Kelly Boswell, Brandon Boswell, and step-grandchild Aron Hoppe. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents Mearl Vance and Norma Mae (Koepple) Rheinhardt, and her previous husbands, Corbit Boswell and Bill Dils.

Pastor Martin Holman will officiate a graveside service in her honor at Lutherania Cemetery on July 2, 2026, at 10:00 AM, where family and friends will come together to celebrate her life and the impact she made on those around her. Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary is handling arrangements.
